Grades K–5 (Kit)
See and feel the difference between wool types! The Wool Samples Kit introduces students to two key stages of wool processing. By comparing scoured wool (washed to remove grease and debris) with wool top (washed, carded, and combed), students gain a hands-on understanding of how raw wool is cleaned and prepared for spinning.
This kit is perfect for science or social studies lessons on textiles, agriculture, or history. Students can touch, compare, and discuss the samples to better understand the journey from sheep to finished product.
Kit Contents
- Sample of scoured wool
- Sample of wool top
