Who Grew My Soup

Grades K-6 (Book)

This charming book tells the story of a skeptical boy who refuses to eat his soup until he finds out who grew each of the ingredients. The story is told with a fun rhyme-scheme and the illustrations are extremely well-crafted. A great way to connect a child to the farmers who grew his or her food while still sharing an entertaining, well-written and engaging story.

Use with the lesson plan Who Grew My Soup? found on the National Agricultural Literacy Curriculum Matrix. Additional lesson plans associated with this book can be found on the National Agricultural Literacy Curriculum Matrix.

Super cute story, I have been wanting the book a long time. I do wish I could have gotten it in hardback. Planning to use it during a summer garden program along with the online lesson plans. Our soup will be cold gazpacho. Yum!
