Students examine the environmental footprint of food by discovering factors along the farm-to-fork process that contribute to a food's environmental footprint and discuss possible solutions to create a sustainable future through the foods we eat.

This kit supports Activity 2: Identifying Environmental Impact From Farm-to-Fork in the lesson plan The Environmental Cost of Food. The lesson provides background information, detailed activity instructions, and additional activities to deepen students’ understanding.
