Grades 6-12 (Kit)
This kit is designed to use during Activity 3: Stage 5 of the Hen House Engineering lesson plan. In a modern hen housing system, fans turn on automatically to maintain air quality and lights are programmed to turn on and off to simulate a 16-hour day year-round. Have students use this microcontroller to program the lights and a fan to run automatically in their hen house model. Sample Arduino program (Power Point)
