Grades 3–8 (Kit)
Start your own ranch simulation in the classroom! The Ranch Starter Kit introduces students to Utah’s ranching history and the role of grazing in shaping rangelands. Through interactive activities, students learn how cattle grazing can both help and harm the land—and why healthy stewardship practices are important for sustaining rangeland ecosystems.
This foundational kit provides everything needed to launch a hands-on ranching simulation. For an expanded experience, pair it with the At Home on the Range Trails Kit, which adds durable laminated “trails” for a deeper look at grazing patterns and land use.
