Grades 6–12 (Kit)
We're spoiling milk for science! The Blue’s the Clue Kit gives students the opportunity to investigate how different variables affect one of the most common foods they drink every day—milk. Through this experiment, students model the scientific process and consider how scientists and quality control workers ensure food safety.
The activity uses methylene blue dye to test how quickly milk “spoils” under different conditions, giving students a visible, hands-on demonstration of bacterial activity and food science in action.
